Rafael Cordero is an experienced IT leader with a strong background in cybersecurity, infrastructure, and technology integration in educational environments. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Rafael has built a career at the intersection of technology and institutional operations, with a focus on leveraging secure and scalable solutions to enhance learning, efficiency, and digital safety.

After earning his Master’s degree in Information Technology with a focus on Cybersecurity from California Lutheran University in 2021, Rafael has led major tech initiatives in K–12 education, including network overhauls, cybersecurity benchmarks, device management rollouts, and AI training for staff and administrators. As Director of IT and Operations at a California independent school, he manages everything from enterprise networking and cloud platforms to digital safety systems and device ecosystems.

Rafael’s approach is grounded in practical innovation—implementing tools that work in real-world settings and adapting technology to serve people, not the other way around. With a passion for strategic planning and hands-on problem-solving, Rafael brings both technical fluency and clear communication to every project, making complex systems approachable for non-technical stakeholders.
