Ari Betof

Dr. Ari Betof is the co-founder and partner of Mission & Data, where he focuses on the organizational stewardship and sustainability of educational institutions. His expertise is rooted in over twenty years of leadership experience within independent schools, serving as a Head of School, trustee, administrator, and teacher.

Ari began his career as a physics and mathematics teacher, a foundation that informs his quantitative, data-driven approach to strategic planning. At Mission & Data, he creates scalable systems to support mission-aligned revenue growth, enrollment management, and fundraising for his clients. He has deep experience in the independent school world, having held roles including Chief Advancement Officer and Director of Enrollment Management at a variety of day and boarding schools.

A recognized thought leader, Ari has been a faculty member for the NAIS School Leadership Institute, a mentor in Harvard University’s School Leadership Program, and is the co-host of EMA’s “The Impossible Questions Podcast.” He earned a B.S. in physics and mathematics, an Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania with a dissertation on the financial sustainability of Friends schools, and an MBA with distinction from Cornell University.
