Brian Murray
Director

For the past two decades, Brian has held numerous leadership and teaching positions in North American K-12 public and independent schools. In his current role as Managing Director for REACH Student Life Management Systems, Brian works closely with 100’s of schools worldwide, helping institutions create safe and efficient models while sharing best practices with a worldwide community of educators. He is a regular presenter at international conferences for boarding schools. He offers professional development in Boarding School Management, Minimizing Risk and Maximizing Safety, Student Leadership Development and Strategic School Planning.

He launched the first Independent School Podcast called “Roll Call: Global Perspectives on Independent School Education.” Brian has worked and coached in the public school system of California, teaching History and Political Science. In 2004, he was named the Director of Leadership at Pickering College, an international boarding school, where he was responsible for curriculum development, service learning and experiential education development. In 2008, he was appointed Director of Student Life at Rothesay Netherwood School, a Canadian International IB Boarding School, where his portfolio expanded to include all aspects of student programming, discipline and risk management.

Brian holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Acadia University and currently lives in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Canada with his wife, Jayne. He has three grown children, a grandson and a border collie named Paddy.
