Lauren Marold

Director of Technology

Lauren Marold is the Director of Innovative Learning for Preston Hollow Presbyterian School in Dallas, TX, a K–6th grade school serving students with mild to moderate learning differences. She has spent the past 18 years working in technology leadership and instructional roles within K–12 independent schools.

Lauren has enjoyed her involvement with ATLIS and is an early alumni of the ALI program and a proud member of the TLIS Certification Council. She is also one of the hosts of The PHPS Difference podcast, where she explores meaningful topics that impact and inspire the PHPS community through the lens of learning difference education.

In her role at PHPS, Lauren leads the school’s technology initiatives and infrastructure, oversees library services, and guides special projects that elevate innovative teaching and learning practices. She is deeply connected to the PHPS mission—having been diagnosed with dyslexia in second grade and now navigating the journey of parenting a child with learning differences.

Becky Barrett

Technology and Library Integration Specialist

Becky Barrett is the Technology & Library Specialist at Preston Hollow Presbyterian School in Dallas, TX, a K–6 school serving students with learning differences, including mild to moderate learning differences. She has spent 18 years in education, with a two-year pivot into the edtech world working with companies like Spotify and The Social Institute before returning to the school setting she loves. Becky holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and is an alumna of ATLIS’s ALI program.
At PHPS, she leads digital literacy and technology integration, curates a vibrant and inclusive library program, and designs accessible, creative learning experiences using tools like Seesaw, Scratch, and MinecraftEDU. As a parent of a child with a learning difference, this work is especially close to her heart.
She is also a co-host of The PHPS Difference podcast, where she highlights stories that celebrate and support students who learn differently.
