Dan McGee, TLIS, is the Chief Technology Officer at Laurel School, a role he's held since 2012, leading both the Technology and Library teams. He oversees educational and information technology and libraries, preparing students for a complex future. As a senior school leader, Dan is deeply involved in Laurel's academic and operational life; he serves on multiple committees, including the Head's Leadership Team, professional development, curriculum, audit, and risk management committees, and leads the AI committee. He also teaches AP Computer Science.
Dan holds an M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from the University of Akron, an M.A. in German Studies from the University of Cincinnati, and an Honors B.A. in K-12 Education and German from the University of Mount Union. He is also certified as a Technology Leader in Independent Schools (TLIS) by ATLIS and holds the Ohio K-12 Computer Technology Facilitation Endorsement. His interest in technology began with his father's Radio Shack TRS80.
