Participant Snapshot

Results for the 2025 Compensation Benchmark Report for Technology Leaders in Schools were gathered from 664 respondents (up from 527 the previous year) in an online survey, designed and executed by 12M & Ed Tech Recruiting, in fall 2024. Like previous years, however, only salaried participants’ responses were analyzed, leaving a true mark of 649 respondents. Of those respondents:

  • 60% were technology directors or managers.
  • 7% were chief information officers or chief technology officers.
  • 29% were specialized staff positions such as network administrator, technology integrator, or systems analyst.
  • 4% were technology teachers and instructional designers.

The remaining respondents were heads of school, chief financial officers, or academic deans.

The report includes detailed salary information highlighted by various factors, including title, school enrollment, faculty status, senior administrative status, size of the technology team, number of direct reports, gender, years of experience, and geographic region. The report also outlines information about common benefits packages, school tuition and enrollment, and more.
